It has antivirus and firewall and everything else all built in. Of course, he got it half price right before xmas, I think it's pretty high priced, not sure. I think you need to try and find something you like and that works for you. People's machines are so different that what works for one person doesn't work

My .02 cents, YMMV I have it and it sits there doing it's own thing. It doesn't seem slow, and the only thing about updates is the flash message telling it has done it. I keep meaning to give AVG a try, on my laptop, to see if I like it better, but you know, while it works and isn't bothering me, I don't get around
